About Naomi

Naomi Rawlings is the author of eleven historical Christian novels, including the reader-favorite Eagle Harbor Series. Her books have been short-listed for three different publishing awards, and she enjoys writing uplifting novels set in simpler times, but with real characters who work through the trials of their faith to find strength and love—both with each other, and in the arms of a kind God.

While Naomi would love to claim she spends her days huddled in front of her computer vigorously typing, in reality, she spends her time homeschooling, cleaning, picking up, and pretending like her house isn't in a constant state of chaos. She also works behind the scenes to help her husband with the church he pastors.

Naomi lives with her husband and three children in Michigan's rugged Upper Peninsula, where they get an average of twenty-one feet of snow every winter. Even with the snow, she enjoys residing in the wilderness and raising her kids in an environment that lets them walk to the river to fish, explore the woods, and ride their bikes to Lake Superior. She also loves living an area where people still grow their own vegetables and cut down their own firewood—just like in the historical novels she writes.
